This is my slide that i did with Riley my buddy.

My hoiho is black with gold koru and a white chest.  His feet and beak are pinky peach and the ground is marble.  The background is sapphire blue koru representing the waves.  My korus represent my family (my Mum, James, Addilyn, Emma, Jacob,  Lucas, my Nana and myself).

Room 18 Art

This week we did some art with Mr Copper. We learn't how to tint and shade. Tinting means making the colour lighter and shading means making the colour darker.

We were learning how to draw korus.

I did rocks for the grounds and bushes.

           Yesterday In Room 18 we did art with Mr Cooper.
           First we traced the bird.
           Then we drew some korus inside our bird.

Maths in Room 18

In Room 18 we have been learning to draw our own graphs.                          

This is my bar graph that I created. It was quite tricky!

It's shows Totara Hub's favourite colours.

It took me a long time to get it right but I got there in the end so I am proud of myself!

My graph shows that blue is the most poplar and purple is the second most popular colour. 

Gold, yellow, grey , pink and orange are the least popular colours.

 

In Room 18 this week.

Reflection 

This week in Maths I have enjoyed learning my times tables. I'm working on my 3x tables at the moment and I am getting faster at them. I've got lots of games to help me learn them.

This week I am proud of running cross-country and getting faster and faster. Each day I try to improve from the day before.

Next week I need to work on getting my homework finished by Friday.

Penguin Art

                                              
This is my penguin art.
To make these penguins you need: white paint and blue dye, black ,white, paper,orange,and white paint. 
For the paint you flick and swoosh it on the dye on the paper.
To glue the penguins you need PVA Glue. You dab the PVA glue on your finger then you  dab it on the back of the  penguin. Then you push your penguin on your dyed, painted piece of paper.
I hoped you enjoyed learning how to make penguin art.

Matariki Writing

This is my favourite part of my Matariki writing.

Ding ding! The bell went. Awwee that wasn't long I thought to myself. Me and Kasaiyah went Room 18 for poi making. It was tricky but I didn't give up. After that I ran like a wild cow to the hall for lunch.

In room 18 we have been making marshmallow catapults. I made it with my buddy. It took a long time to do it.

My Pet

This is my pet I want in my future. It will teach me how to swim. When I hop out of the pool it will give me a cuddle to warm me up. I will play with her. I would call her Snow.  I will feed her milk when she's a baby. It would be the best pet in the whole wide world. I will be the best swimmer in the world.
